Well! A very Happy New Year to YOU, too!

2006, it's been a blast. Now scram.

Haw haw haw!

Coming up I plan to do a few posts on what this year was all about in my world, in my little corner, my neck of the woods.

Today I'd like to show you a sign for a little shindig.

First the kids and I were chuckling at what a great deal the bonfire rides are.
I mean, that's a lot of stuff to do at the old town leisure centre, for sure. But Bonfire rides! How intriguing. Obviously an element of danger, although a definite promise of warmth on a cold Canadian winter night. And what warms my heart more than "free?" Free bonfire rides- how can I pass that up?

Then I got a look at the work of some genius on other side of the sign.

SAY NO MORE!

Except that my kids don't know exactly why they're snickering or why Mommy's laughing so hard, and I ain't telling, but I'm still laughing!

Happy new year and don't do anything dangerous or illegal or boring. See ya on the other side.

haha.

I love it! Why does stuff like this still make us laugh?

I like your take on the unadulterated sign far better than the cruder 're boner rides'

That is just sad. People go to a lot of work here in the States to provide fun/free entertainment on our "First night" celebrations - sorry to see someone couldn't leave well enough alone on that one side.

Yes I do see the humor and it made me smile [the bonfire rides unintentional] - just sometimes I wish people would be nice and not be vandals.

Hugs and Happy 2007

It's true Skippy, some people just can't keep their hands off anything. In the long run this is pretty harmless vandalism- offensive to many, I'm sure, but tame compared to destruction.

My kids still don't know why they're snickering at it, other than they suspect it's something dirty. Maybe they do know but they're not admitting!!

I'm glad you got a picture of the reverse side of the sign. Someone had changed it by the time I got there with my camera. I still can't figure out why they took the 'f' and the 'e' out of the word 'free.'
Bonfire Rides is not a Spanish political prisoner.
