October is Truth Month

Yes you're going to hear the truth from me. I tend to be the kind of person who'll tell you everything. This worries my mother, my sister and my husband. They'd like it if I'd maybe keep just a couple of things quiet. Well, Mom and Sweetie are safe. I'll guard their privacy like a German Shepherd. But Jethro, well that's another story. I mean, he knew I was a loose cannon already when I was sixteen years old.

And yet, he still asked me to marry him a few years later. He was pretty sure I'd say yes, too.

About a year ago I started this blog project. I am nowhere near finished with it. I have no idea where it will end up, just as I had no way of knowing how much it would mean to me. I really didn't expect to care so much about the people who read it! Heck, by the beginning of 2006 I was just pleased that anybody read it at all!

Truth: I had no ulterior motives to get my best friend addicted to blogging, or her oldest daughter. Honestly. I didn't plan it!

Another truth: I shouldn't be doing this. I should be doing my homework. My Equine Business Management course is into Unit 4 LEGAL ISSUES which is another name for FUN SUCKING. I should be watching the "Liability Walkabout Tour" video. I should be getting numbers for my Business Plan. (Lots of biznass, not enough horses...but very necessary...)

I should be watching my daughter brush and floss to make sure she gets her expensive metal clad teeth clean.

I should be coaxing my son to carry his dirty laundry downstairs and put it in the machine.

You know what I really should be doing? Writing my precious novel. I haven't touched it in weeks.

I'll get back to it. I'll get the Business Plan done too. And blog. But the truth is, I'm not going to get that end table cleared off beside the family room couch. I'd like to think I will. I keep writing that task on my WEEKLY TO DO LIST. But it could take another three weeks.

Truth is, I'd rather write. And play with horses.
You should go back and read the first thing I ever wrote here. It's all starting to make sense.

First of all, you did not get me hooked on blogger. Second of all, don't you remember my homework theory? Keep that in mind.

So technically it was your MOM who got you hooked. But I got her hooked. So I do feel somewhat responsible.

Your homework theory is brilliant. I'll admit that!!! BUT if I do well in this course, I'll learn how to make enough money in the horse bizness to justify buying myself a farm. Closer to your house than where I am now. Easier to come visit you!

So please stay living with your parents for at least another two years, OK???

October is truth month? You did get me hooked on blogging, but it's not like a mind altering drug. Much.
I would rather be writing, too. Everything else can wait. You will finish the course, tho, and you will ace it. You dream will be a reality, you'll see. would I lie? October is truth month, afterall.

Biddie, every month is truth month for you!

Tim! Keep coming back! I'm still here!

Nolff, seriously??? Doncha think we should put a few more bales of hay into her first? I'm just saying, she's kind of bony. Maybe some oats and sweet feed. Or a hamburger.

I can't believe I just wrote that...that was kinda mean eh? But she is bony.

Dilling- one free lesson for all blog buddies!!! Yay!!!

It might take a week to get here from BC. I highly recommend a trip across the prairies. There's nothing like it.

I had never read your first post -- that explains it. I'm surprised Jethro was the one who suggested the blogging...I can't even remember how I found your blog!

I've been so busy lately I haven't posted anything new in a while. I was in Athens last weekend -- should be writing it up soon...

Keep writing -- I love to read it!

indoors- anybody who has to cross an ocean, I think, should get two free lessons. It's only fair. (thank you!)

todemesne- thank you! (I'm still trying to figure out how to pronounce your name!)

Yankee- I was wondering what you've been up to- good to see you! Yeah, it does explain a lot doesn't it? The first posting of yours that I read was the Trunk Monkey. And I was instantly hooked.

Okay, so everybody, this is the part where I stretch my hands up over my head and in my Rock Star Voice, yell, "I LOVE YOU AAAAAALL!" Imagine in it Ozzy's voice for full effect.

"OI LOVYOOAAAUUUUULLLL!"
