WOW !!! Congratulations!

Do I read it right? Nominated for two different projects?

So, you'll be leaving for Hamilton, to cavort with rock stars, and bedazzle us on the red carpet.

Taking the kids, right? I'll be watching for you all. Wears something flashing with ten second time delay.

Congrats again to Jethro. I'll be rooting for you.

Yep, he's got the nomination! First time in five years. The submission is always for two songs, and yes he submitted songs from two different artists. (Both pretty happening jazz type records.)

Soooo the good news is, free event tickets!!! The money is painfully tight this year, with me not working and him having a slow January. So getting those tickets handed over saves us a pile of $.

Hamilton isn't far so the kids will join us.

Want me to wear a string of blinking christmas lights around my neck? heehee. I can tell you right now, I'll be wearing a couple of the following options:
a) fuchsia dress bought 2nd hand for $35 last year, not worn yet
b) black dress worn last year for the gala, but with all different stuff to go with it
c) hot pink and black checked polar fleece hooded onesie. It's warm and comfy and I've been living in it since Christmas. Think that would be good red carpet wear? It's made in Canada!!!!

And if the drugs are still making me feel unbalanced and unsteady on my feet, I will be foregoing the usual ridiculous stilty high heels and wearing my beat up brown and pink cowboy boots so I don't fall over. I am not kidding about this one. You know me. You know I'll do it. I wore cowboy boots with my wedding dress, I won't be intimidated by the Unspoken Rules Of Formalwear!

Meanwhile he's pretty mellow about the whole thing. As usual. No big. But I suspect he's secretly quite pleased. It's been a rough couple years in the music biz, so maybe this will be a nice little celebration. We could use that.
