18 years of Wedded Bliss

Maybe the entire 18 years hasn't been pure total bliss, but it's been very, very good.

That's starting to feel like a long time... we're old enough to have been married that length of time. Some days I don't feel that old. Others, I feel so much older.

I have never once second guessed our marriage. It's not perfect, of course, but I know we made the right choice.

He's the best guy I ever could have chosen to spend my life with. I know it now more than ever.

Life hasn't always been easy for us and it won't get any easier. We've survived so many disappointments and setbacks. Just staying married is difficult enough, but staying married in the music business, with the long hours and sketchy pay, is an extra challenge. It's so very much worth it.
We've got more challenges ahead of us. New career paths for me, adjusting our lives to get more family time, raising two teenagers... and more I haven't even thought of yet.

I can't imagine it any other way than Me And Him Against The World. It does feel like that sometimes. The Me And Him part is the most important.

We've got a lot more years to go and I couldn't be happier about that.

(And Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canucks- enjoy the fireworks!)

Happy Anniversary Heidi! As my a friend of mine once said, "we've been married way too long, and not long enough, and I wouldn't have it any other way!". Enjoy your day and the fireworks in your neck of the woods!

Happy Anniversary! 18 years already? Wow. Seems like just yesterday. Honestly, in some ways, it really does!

Congratulation. 18 years is good, the next 18 is better. You'll reach the coming milestone when you have been married longer than b.m. (before marriage).

Personally, I have found marriage to be more work than bliss, but there is contentment, trust, caring, love -- partnership. Next you'll find you're completing each other sentences and following that, each other's thoughts. It gets hard to separate where one ends and the other begins.

So here is to your next 18, I lift my glass, with best wishes to you and Jethro.

All the best! Are you planning anything big for year 20. Matching dueling pistols maybe?

Happy Anniversary!!

You know, it's kind of funny in a way, because whenever I see the both of you interact...it's like you're still newly weds, or close to it.
