We have lost a musician.

My husband never worked with Jeff Healey, or even had the opportunity to meet him, but knows so many musicians who have. On Sunday, he lost a long battle with cancer.

A few months ago we were driving out to the farm in the dark, listening to his radio show. He shared some of his huge record collection, speaking lovingly about old jazz music, in his low, husky voice.

Can you see the light,
Can you see the light of need
Shinin' in my eye?
Can you see the light,
Can you see the light of need
Shinin' in my eye?

Can you see the light,
can you see the light of want
Shinin' on my face?
Can you see the light,
can you see the light of want
Shinin' on my face?

Can you see the light,
can you see the light of love
shinin' from my heart?
Can you see the light,
can you see the light of love
shinin' from my heart?

How did I ever win your love

What did I do
What did I say
To turn your angel eyes that way

We truly have lost a huge talent. I was so sad when I heard about his death.
I always thought that someday I would get to hear him play.
