Obligatory Friday Blog Post

And then I have to get to work. Not house work. I have do finish some things. Some words. My brain is slightly less melted than it was yesterday!

And when I get the words done, when I get the letters written and the words sent off to where they're going, then, and only then, will I tackle the mess in the front hall and yes, yes, I will fix up the mess on my bookshelf.

This is not writing:

This is procrastinating!

Sometimes you have to consult your muse.

Sometimes you need to find the right equipment to do the job.

But no matter what, you have to get finished.

It's hot outside.

brain melt.

I dig deep for inspiration and I find it.

It comes from everywhere. Some finds its way into the words and some doesn't.

I really do hope that some day all of this will make sense to you.

Back to work for me.

Good for you! Words first, I'm all for that mantra. The house work can wait. It always does. :)

Sorry, I just don't get the long hair on a guy thing. Even on the same guy, it's like flicking a switch with me.

short=sexy!
long=NO!
short=ooh sexy!
long=Nooooo!

Anissa- darn right! In fact my housework is sitting here waiting for me right now....and I'm forcefully ignoring it!

Tod, that's totally okay. No need to apologize. It's a big old world and there's something for everybody! But I do realized now that I need to find some good looking short haired man pictures. Maybe I'll work up a good lookin farm boy post next week. Most farm boys have short hair. I mean, think about it. All the sweating during haying.

That oughtta keep you thinking for awhile.

Dilling, that's kind of a relief.

You've inspired me!

HOLY CRAP.

HOW can I be on revision # SIX and I am STILL finding things to correct????

Ok Secret Agent, you're not getting your query yet today. I'm not sending the query til the book is perfect. Just in case. I am NOT going to screw this one up.

Am I still finding things to fix because I've improved so much since two months ago when I last fixed it up?

Will I still be sitting here next year, working on Revision #12?

Help me Axl! Help me Johnny! Help me Robert!

I gotta clean up my desk too.

Maybe I should get a slinky...

AXL ROSE ..... OH SO HOT BACK IN THE DAY! PANT PANT!

Man, it's hard to believe Ozzy was ever so young and unpolluted-looking. Nice Axl shot, too.

You know, at first all those photos didn't make sense. And then, all of a sudden...uh, nope. Still don't.

Someday?
Already does!

Dinky- I know. I know. Back in the day...

Nicole...young and unpolluted Ozzy. That guy is a walking cautionary tale!!!!!

I still think he sounds great!

Picky Mick, dude, you just need to come back here a few times and the pieces should start to fit together. Maybe not perfectly. My pieces never fit together exactly, but if it's your first time out in my neck of the woods I can see it being a little disorienting.

So you'll have to read more.

Biddie, see now that's hardly even fair because you've known me since 1984! You know exactly why those pictures would make sense! You are fluent in Heidi!!

If it was me, I'd clean he bookshelf, then the cutlery drawers, then organize the towels before the actual work would get done. Gee, I wonder if you like the bad boys? I also wonder if I could make one of those thinking caps - I have a tin collunder...

I think you could use a maid Heidi so that you could devote yourself full time to inspiring writing or pictures :) I am sure it hasn't crossed your mind at least once in your life!

it will happen Heidi we have every faith in you

BTW: the manure spreader brought back memories :)

I've been procrastinating for the last...20 years or so. I guess a couple of hours on a blog aint so bad. ;)

Rain...Y'know...I do wish I was more like you. I'm not actually a good housekeeper so I better get really good at writing. I look around here and think of all the stuff I should be doing instead of writing, but that's the stuff that's going to mean not finishing the book. So far my husband and kids haven't noticed and I kind of wish they would. It wish the mess would really bother them. And they'd do something about it.

Oddly enough my dad's barn, which I'm in charge of sweeping, is pretty darn clean!

And yes. (sigh) I have a thing about the bad boys. I never quite got over it. Probably never will.

LeRoy, My husband wants very much to get us a cleaning service. It's really not in the budget. AT all. I was raised to not spend money so I have a hard time with that. But, I also believe in paying people to do what they're good at in order to concentrate on what you're good at...

I still don't see anybody perfeshnul cleaning my house anytime soon! And yeah. The manure spreader. Very symbolic to my life!

Indoors- thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( I feel like I can go on now!)

Captain Corky, but you make procrastination into an art form! You're kind of my hero!

With two kids, you and your husband, I bet you could whip that place into shape in no time. Maybe invite the neighbors and relatives over for a cleaning bee.

As long as no one is piling more into your manure spreader and you can keep it empty, you'll be doing good Heidi :)

Sorry to do this, but you've been tagged!

Now the misconception is that I "normally" like cleaning...I really only like to do it when I have to write a report or do actual work (I'm a bit of a writer too, but nothing compared to novel, the polar opposite, really..I'm using the term loosely)that suddenly the drawers need cleaning!
