In more exciting news, we just got back from the Welcome Reception, which means that we were in a big room full of hundreds of non-famous music people just like ourselves.
This is how we got to the Welcome Reception.
Dude, it was a free ride. Actually it was fun, because this old-school city bus was one rockin shaky ride. Jethro had an opportunity back in high school to buy one of these. He would have used it to tour when he was in his baaaaand, maaaaan. Yes, this is how the people in the glamorous music biz get around. This is the truth people! You saw it here!!!!
The invitation stated that the dress code was "Casually Elegant." What the hell does that mean? I wore my black leather fringey coat. I saw a few ladies in evening gowns and heels. Some people looked very uncomfortable.
Now get a load of these girls.
In case you're wondering, we hid the guy's face because we have no idea who he is and he didn't give me blog permission. But it's not about him. IT'S ABOUT THESE GIRLS.
We're trying to figure out what they're dressed up as and why. Does this have anything to do with The Western Development Museum? Did the pioneers of Saskatoon wear feathered headresses and gold shiny microminis? Are we pretending we're in Vegas?
Jethro's like, I don't care! It's all good! I say that the right girls were picked for this job.
