Ride 'em

Everybody should have a plaid flannel jacket. EVERYBODY.
Yeeeeee Haw!
Not sure what's going on here...is the saddle crooked? Is one of my legs longer than the other? I know one hip is higher. Is it because she's walking? Well at least after 6 months of exercise therapy my elbows are almost at the same level.

I do know one thing: this little mare has a gorgeous butt.

YES that definitely counts!

I wear my flannel with a sleeveless jean jacket over it. I know a lot about fashion.

I have a really super cool (and Hick) denim insulated shirt with a plaid flannel lining. I love that thing!

woot! I have a plaid shirt...I think everybody looks weird riding a horse in pictures. I don't know why.

Nolff- You DO know a lot about fashion. Hot stuff!

CindyDi- I would love that too. You know what would be nice to go with it? Jeans with flannel lining. Ahhhhh!

JJ- Yeah I know what you're talking about! A buckle Bunny! hee hee hee!

Jethro has a Harley Davidson buckle with the word LEGENDARY on it. I think that's entirely appropriate.

cara- good girl! Stay warm!

KC- I know why you think people look weird riding horses in pictures. Because you're used to seeing me on horses in pictures and therefore associate people on horses with weird. Get it?

Nifty-The hat matches the jacket! Cooool! I have one of them hangy ear flaps hat and it's my favourite. But now that I know you can get them matching the plaid jacket my blood is heating up. I wanna go shopping at the feed mill.

Good advice on the stirrup length, very sharp of you! I'm ahead of ya though- I did check them. The old saddle has uneven stirrups but that one's ok. I think it's me that's off.

Thanks for complimenting her bum! She's really filled out like her Quarter Horse ancestors, even though she's got the Appaloosa colour. I finally got her loping on the weekend. Sweeeeet!

I have a plaid flannel jacket - and even the flannel-lined jeans! I finally fit in!!!
Unfortunately they are men's jeans, as Carhart does not make "ladies" flannel-lined jeans. . .what was the thinking there?

So it's kinda like a horsey HNT?

Haha! I agree with you about flannel. I got mine!

I am still looking for a flannel jacket for Hubby.....THAT would be a wicked Christmas gift!!!!!!!!!

Bunny, you rock- you've got the Hick Chic!!! I think Carhartt makes the best clothes and I'm really mad at them for not making enough of them in woman shapes. Or in my case, small woman. (I wore boy's jeans until I had babies and gained hips!) I don't know what their thinking is..."ladies" aren't supposed to work? There are soooo many women out there cleaning barns every day. I should call them. They need me. They need me to tell them that we chic chicks need good work clothes!!

Red- Yeah I guess it is! My horses are nekked almost all the time! And see, we all agree on flannel!

Biddie, your big man in a flannel jacket. That is just a big bundle of flannel love!!! Yay! I hope you find one, he definitely deserves.

I agree with you Heidi. I used to buy flannel jackets all of the time. There cheap as dirt and warm as hell. Plus the two pockets in the front are the best.

Of course we have flannel jackets! I had to think for a minute if Cranky did, but then I saw his flannel hanging on a nail in the garage! Duh!
