EASTER (this is worth sharing)

God, we live in a world of Good Fridays where innocent ones suffer and the vulnerable are crushed.  Our own lives are cluttered with unfulfilled dreams, deep longings, vague but persistent dis-ease.  We too stand trembling at the grave, wondering where the hallelujahs are and if resurrection can be believed, much less trusted.

Lord, you have promised that if we seek you with all our hearts, we will find you.  So here in this space of quiet and rest, we listen for your voice.  Today, we name and offer to you the doubts and fears, the questions and disbelief that make it difficult for us to see the risen Jesus and the life he offers.

This was in the church bulletin this morning.  I don't know who wrote it.  I just needed to share it.

So lovely!! So true.

I hope you had a joyful Easter! We spent the morning at church and all day at my parent's house eating great food, hunting eggs and office supplies (love that my parents hide tons of crayons, markers, sharpies, mechanical pencils, gel pens, glitter pens, etc for the kids - it's HOURS of finding them all - and then we're stocked up for the year!! And no cavities. :) )

Hope, Love, and Joy. What a celebration Easter is!

Easter egg hunt for gel pens and sharpies!!!! Brilliant!!!

I would go crazy for that.

We had an egg hunt for tin cans which were nailed to boards, which we had to first find while standing on a specific spot, and then shoot the cans with a BB gun / air rifle.

Redneck easter? Heck we were all together and had fun! That's what matters, right? Also, Bucky arranged the whole thing and got so much fun out of it. He was sweet, grinning away about his little egg- tin can hunt- shoot!
