Part One: done!

Hey!

I did the written test TODAY.

It was scheduled for tomorrow but I said, "Gimme the papers.  I'm doin' it NOW."  I sat at the table and said, "Let's get this OVER WITH."

So of course I got a few wrong, stupid mistakes of course, but it looks like it's a pass.

A PASS!

Thursday is still the longeing and pattern test.  With the written out of the way, I can concentrate on riding, longeing, and answering questions about stable management.

Oh- and getting Bo the Grumpy Gelding all polished up and pretty for our big day.  He's looking good, shiny, fit and trim.

Bring it.

A Task in Hand.

The hill seams higher looking at it than on looking back
The climb looks steeper in expectation than in fact
Fear grows if you feed it, let it by
The task that worries you will only last
Half the length and twice the width you allow
Six measure above and six down
Remember, you are in control.

Exhale, take a breath, simple in and out
Let your abilities lead you
You have done it already, many times before.
Confidence is on your right hand
Intent and desire on your left
And you'll be fine, it'll all be righteous.

Congrats on the written.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!

All of you!

It's bedtime now as I write this and tomorrow is the big test. I'll be at the barn all day, and honestly what I"m most nervous about is the time leading up to the actual test, and fretting about waht I might have forgotten.

I get to groom horses... I love doing that.

I just have to remember- heels down. Give us enough room, don't cut the circles. More leg. Collect him in the last corner. Move his hip over. Be assertive; don't pussyfoot around.

Okay. Bedtime!
