Everything's Golden, baby!

So I caught the Globes last night.  It was all fun n games until I shrieked, "JOHNNAAAAY!" and then the rest of the family had to SHUSH so I could soak up his raspy voice and watch him fidget with his hair and scratch his nose.  Aww.  So awkward being himself.  How cute is that??!!??

Do you think I can find a picture?  Geez.

However, I do have something for you to marvel at while I'm back at the studio flinging a paintbrush:

Ricky Gervais, who is hilarious, and brought his drink up to the stage with him...

And Mickey Rourke, who looked absolutely 100% like a perfectly scuzzy, road rash ROCK STAR!

Still working on the Best of 08 post.  Still painting, still fumbling with typed words, and anticipating a very cold ride on Bo the Grumpy Gelding this week.  Stay tuned!

I agree 100% with the title of your post.

Gervais is hysterical - did you ever see him in his "The Office?" INSANE funny.

Miss your talkin', woman! :)

Painting, writing -- man, you are so creative!

Well Lynn, it's really just straight lines around doors and windows. But let's count it as creative!

Jkb- Only tiny snippets, but enough to know that he's a scream! My daughter has an extremely goofy book he wrote, called "Flanimals". It cracks her up after three years of looking at it.

I totally thought of you when Johnny came on. You're right, he was incredibly endearing. I loved Spielberg's speech. He was so engaging, and made all of the other presenters just look like vapid eye-candy. Which they basically are (most of them, not Johnny of course!!)

I was all over the Globes last night - Hollywood Awards Season is upon us, one of my favorite times of the year!

I saw Johnny come out and first thought, "Damn, he's hot." Then I thought, "Oh, I hope Heidi is watching!"

Gervais is hilarity. Period. Love him.

Why didn't they just broadcast the original 'Office' in the states instead of making their own?

Insult to the yanks if the tv station thought it needed Americanising if you ask me.

My boxroom still needs painting.

My book isn't being published. I declined.

I am such a silly sod.

Never mind. Tally ho! On we go!

(I expect a signed copy when yours is by the way)

I didn't watch but I heard that Mickey had a great quote about yor dog(s) always being there.
I like that :)

I loved that too, because it's true! He's gotta be a decent human being if he appreciates his dog's faithful loyalty.

I didn't actually get to watch the Globes, but I got to watch the arrival on the red carpet. Did you see Drew Barrymore..And her HAIR? Oh my gosh! Who told her that looked GOOD? And Mickey..Oh my. What a trainwreck.

Heidi the Hick said...

You are right- trainwreck! Glorious, sequin lapelled, messed up, trainwreck! Words fail, really. He sure stands out from the pack, that's for sure!

His next gig should have something to do with an Aerosmith cover band.

Drew cracks me up. She just looked so HAPPY! I thought she really rocked that dress, and the hair. Well. It could have been better. I think I get what they were going for but -

oh my gosh. What if it was Mickey that did her hair?
