Here, kitty kitty kitty... I think...

This one's for you, JAEKAEBEE!

(I got this from the very interesting and educational Querencia.  I mean, do you snicker at this or feel sorry for somebody?  Aw heck.  I'm going with snicker and hope the "cat" found a nice place to live!)

I think you are playing opossum with me.

An interesting fact I saw on the animal channel (I didn’t find out in person,) the male opossum has a two headed pecker and the female has a double hole cooter. Kind of like plugging in a lamp cord, huh? “Double Your Pleasure, Double Your Fun! For Multiple Orgasms, Get A Guy Who Has More Than One.” Tah Dah!

They are sooo cute. I came face to face with one while taking out the garbage a few years back. It scared the living hell out of me. It was more than likely more scared than I was, lol.

They are seriously sweet little animals...although I know Querencia knows the terrier man who kills them with his dogs. *sob*

Spencer wants to know how they caught the possum and where the hell they are keeping it????
In the words of a wise man "this is just nature's way of weeding out the stupid."

KC stole my line. Know how I know it? My Beloved Shawn has been known to say it to me.
Those things are mean as Beattie. When we lived on Wwstmount, we had them in our yard all of the time. They would climb up on the baack steps and look right in our window. Poodle was afraid to go out at night and when she did, we kept a close eye on her.
Honestly, that poster cracks me up!

I really dont' know anything about these critters... just that one winter, I found one dead in the barn. I was pretty sure it was a possum but I'd never seen one.

Just to be sure I called the vet to identify it, because I'm kinda paranoid about the rabies. He said they'd seen them this winter because they were hiding in transport trucks coming up from the States.

Poor little thing. Froze in our wicked Ontario cold winter.

I have no idea waht they're like though, personality-wise, because I'd never seen one alive. I admit though, I was a little freaked out because I'd heard of the expression "playing possum" and I wasn't sure if it was dead, or just faking me out!

Still felt sorry for it. I mean, I was born here and every winter I'm sure I won't survive.

We get raccoons up here like crazy though. Summer is raccoon season!
