He didn't win another Juno: the guy who engineered Ozzy's album won and we're okay with that!

Have to run- we're hungry!  Here are some pictures from last night's Gala Dinner!  You can see my fun hairdo which kind of went delightfully messy, and a picture of me and my Favourite Man in the World Ever, win or no, and a few pictures of our table- full of glasses and forks, what the heck with that???? and also a goofy picture of me showing off my dress!  I love my Peach Berserk dress!  (There were roses all over the ladies room last night.  It was insane. I kinda liked it.)  We partied with a fellow engineer and his tons-o-fun sister, despite the after-parties being kind of unexciting.  You never know.  Hopefully tonight's will be fun. I got to see my Imaginary Boyfriend and already got a hug (Or two) from him.  He's a real hugger.  Gotta love these musicians, they're so huggy.  And hungry.  Time to run.  Catch ya later.  Enjoy the pix!

One more thing, while Jethro puts new laces in his shoes:

Every time we leave the room, the bed-making fairies come in. They bring the Clean Towel pixies with them.

I cannot get used to this....!

You all just HAD to be the absolute coolest couple in the room... look at you guys!! That dress rawks!
Sorry about the award, but at least I'm glad it went to someone who you feel was worthy!

Those fancy hotels are nice - but I just could never get used to it when I was staying at that one in KC... lol

It's so WEIRD, living this totally other life for a weekend! Fun, weird, odd, fun, all of it!

Tomorrow morning Jethro is renting us a big honkin diesel pickup truck and we're going up to the mountains! Yay!

We've got about two hours until we meet up with the other nominees to go do the red carpet thing. I'm not nervous but I might be soon. I don't think I'll ever think this is boring, but man, I couldn't keep up this pace in real life.

Although I haven't had a horrible chest thumping panicky moment since I got off the plane. That is nice!

I wrote. Blogger deleted. If you get two of these, don't think me computer incompetent.

You look amazing. Fabulous hair, fabulous smile... happy. You two are a great looking couple!

I'm glad the win isn't getting you down... the nomination is HUGE, and your hubby's accomplishments are incredible. And you get a great weekend out of it. And your smiling. So it doesn't get much better, eh?

(And if you are tired of the clean towel pixies and bed-making fairies, send them my way! I definitely could get used to that!)

Tough to beat the Oz. Skull and cross bones is always a good choice. I should rock it from the pulpit some day.
It would be good to connect with you guys some time when things have settled.

Lovin' the hair! I can't believe you aren't enjoying the bed making fairies, or the towel pixies. Whenever I go to a hotel, I deliberately use all the towels so they will bring me new ones. Partying with rock stars would be so awesome except I would go all jelloid and probably just drool all over myself unable to complete a word let alone a whole sentence.
Also, I love your imaginary boyfriend he is really sweet, take lots of pics for me!!! Have fun!

Oh, aren't you just cute?!
How nice it must be to be young and thin and pretty!
It sounds like you're having a great time. Enjoy all those pixies and fairies, girl!

HI everybody! I'm changing my boots and heading back out.

Oh my gosh, this is so very much not my real life but it's great! Thanks for all your best wishes!

The other four guys in the category are all huge talents, and John has so much respect for each of them. There couldn't be any losers with such great engineers!!!

I still can't believe I'm here... I'm a little runty kid who grew up on a pig farm, and this afternoon I took pictures of people as I walked down a red carpet.

Of course, they all wondered who the heck I was...

Hey folks! We always have a great time when we come to one of these things, and it's amazing to be in the same company as all of my engineer pals. Ozz-Man Churko is a great guy, and deserves a medal of honour just for surviving years and years of exacting and exhausting work with Mutt on all the Shania records, Bryan Adams, the Corrs, etc... not to mention the awesome work he's doing now!

Anyhow, since the minute we got here, the thing I've been more excited about is renting a big-ass diesel dually one ton truck (we're in Alberta man!) and driving up into the mountains! I'm pretty frugal 99% of the time, but why drive a Toyota Yaris, when you can drive a big truck? Unfortunately, they didn't have any trucks with the big horns on the hood, so I had to settle for the off-the-line version...

Really miss the kids though...

Jethro - You should be congratulated for making the list. Though, I bet if the other guy was really honest, he would say that you deserved the award too!

I am so glad y'all are having a blast. And I totally don't blame ya for renting the big truck. They are a blast. Mine is the 3/4 ton and I love it. Though, sometimes I'd like to drive a convertible! ;-)

Seriously awesome hair.

Well, there's always next year. I mean, being on the list two years in a row is fabu, but I guess that you do have to let someone else win now and again :)
I am proud as hell anyway. But please don't tell him that I said that....
