Have you ever tried Budweiser? Now that's a good beer. ;)

KB swears by Bud Light. Personally, when I drink beer, I like Shiner Boch.

Now you know. Ha!

Shiner Bock is awesome...
St. Pauly Girl is my favorite... Or Boulevard Wheat Beer, brewed in Kansas City...
Miller Chill isn't bad occasionally, and Bud Light is a staple...

When I was doing a lot of field archaeology in the late 70s we used to buy a really cheap beer called Buckhorn. We would usually run out of ice by Wednesday afternoon so your beer wasn't very cold the last two days of the week. We said Buckhorn was the ideal field beer because it didn't taste any worse warm than it did cold.

There must be something wrong with me, cuz I have never been a big Bud drinker. I like the name though.

My mom and dad have a dairy farmer neighbour whose name I think sounds like a beer. Reubenhauser!!!

This is interesting hearing from all my American friends with the beer, because other than Bud, I haven't heard of any of them!

We've been making beer at a U BREW place and it's so good.

Better than Bud. But still not a buck a beer.

I think that all beer is skunky and nasty. I'll take rum and vodka, please. Or whiskey. Got any whiskey?

Emily, we tried to make our own wine, but we've never attempted beer. The wine thing kind of scared us off! Some friends of ours made their own beer and they are so slick they even named it and wrote a jingle for it, which they had to sing every time they cracked one open!

Biddie, that's why we're still friends- you drink the rum, I drink the beer! Okay well that's one reason. Just one.

India Pale Ales are the bestests(if you like yourself some hops)...Michaels last brew is mighty good, but I am waiting for this current batch of hoppiness.
Phillips IPA or Paddywhack.
If you find yourself on the west coast of the US, there are so many mighty microbrews I could be here all day writing down good beer. No Bud. Ever.

I like the micros.

I don't drink. Beer never tasted good to me - ever!

I gotta go with dlling - no Bud ever. Lager only crosses our doorstep when my brother comes to call. We like the dark stuff. Truthfully, I'm a wine drinker, but Jamie loves the ale. He's less of a microbrewery man and more of an import kinda guy. We do like to head on down to Duncan to the pub next to Just Jakes (the name escapes me) for a toolbox of assorted beer and some sweet potato fries with chilpltle mayo!

Rain that sounds good!

We get a lot of imported beers around here. Of course with my husband being good British blood we gotta give in to that sometimes.

Me, possibly due to my European/ german/ french/ swiss blood, always fall for those Grolschy-kronenbourgy kind of beers.

You know what? I'm just so happy that we are now in an income situation where we can say, "hey, let's go to the beer store and get a few cases!" instead of, "We can't afford baloney. No beer."

I measure financial success in beer cases...

Beer is nasty.
Why don't you try some hard liquor although tequila and vodka do NOT like each other so I wouldn't drink tequila and screwdrivers in one night. Just sayin' oh and if you have had tequila, back awaaaay from the chicken wings at Double Double pizza.

Not a fan of Bud either. Beer really only appeals to me on a very hot day and it has to be ice cold. When we were in England I took a lot of ribbing for having to put ice in my beer. Just can't get it down warm.
My husband used to make beer and instead of bottling it he would put it in product tanks in our other fridge and hook it up to a CO2 system. You can imagine our house quickly becoming the party house with beer on tap all the time.
I'm more of a wine person. The secret to making wine is buying good kits - not the stuff you get at the hardware/grocery store. Yuk.
I just bottled a batch of Port. Now the trick is to leave it alone until Christmas. Ya right.

BTW, you can acually buy an imported beer from England here call Holy Grail (with x's over the Gr). The bottle has several references to Monty Python and is quite funny. The beer is very dark and bitter - for those who like it that way.

Heidi the Hick said...

I do like a really dark bitter beer sometimes. Those ones are good warm. They're like lunch.

KC, I just can't do the hard stuff! It seems like you're either beer or liquor and that's okay because it looks like it's not good to mix em up!

Listen, after the Halifax Junos, when Jethro had his little Tequila party with the Russian guy...I aint' touching that stuff!

Heidi- We're having wine made right now too, I'll let you know how it turns out. We're bottling more beer tonight, sort of a Bodington's Ale. YUM!

Leslie- Please save me one of Michael's beer for this weekend...or at least a taste! We're bringing a bunch of ours too!
