I never thought I'd be writing about a gay cowboy movie. In fact I couldn't believe it was for real when I read about it. But no it's for real! I'm so confused. I love cowboys, believe, I do. But I don't know any gay ones. Actually I don't really know that many cowboys in person, being in Ontario and not from Out West. And I don't really know many gay people at all, at least, I don't think I do. Maybe I do but don't realize it. Who knows, really?
Here's the thing. First of all, Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal, they are two handsome fellas. And THEY LOOK REALLY GOOD IN THEIR COWBOY HICK WEAR.
I am so excited about that, it almost makes me want to see the movie. Except that I'd have to leave the house.
So I saw a photo from the movie in People last night (it was described basically as a love story-hey, weren't there wives involved in this story too? That sounds like a sad story.) the photo was impressive, scenery included. And the clothes!
The suede coat with the sheepskin lining and collar: perfect. (I almost typed pervect. ha ha)
Black and blue plaid wool coat: Perfect.
Cowboy hats: look, you have to be a total dork to not pull off a cowboy hat. Any gorgeous man can only be improved with a cowboy hat.
So I guess I agree with both of them.

I think you should go see Brokeback Mountain. My husband and I can't wait to see it. My husband wants to go see it b/c he's very cool and heard it was a great flick. I want to go see it b/c I think two gay cowboys stuck together in the wilds sounds pretty hot. And, I like arthouse movies.
I used to ride horses. English. I broke my damned leg riding Western once. My ass never fit into a Western saddle very well.
Y'think? The curiosity factor could win out!
You must have one of those tiny bums! Me and my mini-J-Lo fill out a western saddle quite happily.
Maybe this movie will be my first Hickchic film review...
I think you should definitely go see it. It's a great love story.
Well I'm all about love, so then it's settled.
