Oakie and I will now dispel all those myths about the legendary beauty of the horse...

WHAT'S IN HERE?

Really, girl?  You know what's in there.

And it's not fresh tasty hay.

It's actually the opposite of that.

But you don't care.

The sun's shining and you're not even all that hungry.  It's snooze time.  The pressure is off.  You don't have to impress anybody, or be gorgeous and spirited, or even stay awake for that matter.

Blah blah blah whatever.  Barbie's Dream Horse would never hang around looking like this. It's like Barbie's Dream Horse doesn't even exist.

But look at how shiny your coat is, even in late winter.  Even after you've rolled in the dirty sand.

Aw heck, I give up.  Yer so pretty.

She didn't tip it over? Is she feeling OK?

Oh yeah we'd already done that. A couple times.

It never ceases to amaze me how much they love sticking their noses in dirty wheelbarrows!!

Yep... Such noble creatures eh?

I think she looks pretty, too. But all of mine roll in the mud and are hairy--she looks great in comparison (!)

Looking at your wheel barrow, reminded me how after my latest literary effort, I had to do something about my study. Pages littered the floor, fractured sentences everywhere, discarded words, superfluous punctuation, fragmented adverbs (you wouldn't believe the number of them) ... I was knee deep in leftover letters and fonts. My cat loved it of course, and took the opportunity to enrich it. My wife said it all had to go.

So I had to put on gloves and face mask. Within minutes the vacuum cleaner jammed, had to get a shovel. Believe it or not, it took three wheelbarrows full to cart the detritus of creativity away (They never tell you about the detritus in creative writing workshops, do they?).

Guess what? unlike horse manure, literary waste is not biodegradable. Only thing left was to burn it. I managed to save a few ideas to be recycled. But the work was done, a brand new story posted on line FREE, I was so glad to be rid of it.

Laura - should have seen them the last two days. They are all the same shade of brownish-grey. I might not see a shine on that horse again for another 6 weeks...!

Paul - I knew you were busy!!!!! I can't keep up with your output. But I will try. So help me, I will read it all!!!

And I won't need a wheelbarrow.
