I think he deserves! He warned me that it would be a tough category this year, and IT IS. It totally is. I really am not holding my breath for a win. I know I said that last year... but there's some heavy talent.
Ever heard of a guy called Ozzy? His engineer/ producer/ co-writer is up for an award. Soo...ummm.... yeah!
I am SO fricking proud of him, Heidi. I wish that my Dad were here to see this. He would burst. NOBODY deserves this more. Tell him that, ok? Love, love, love you both.

As for the incredible length of his career, dating back to 1004 y'know, well he's paid his dues, eh?
I really need to find somebody to give a new profile to. The first sentence was lifted straight out of his website bio- which I wrote- and the last couple are just sort of cobbled together from last year.
He kept telling me he wouldn't be in this year. So I didn't do anything about it!
I have got the biggest craziest perma-chest-pain right now.... just a huge combination of happiness and stress and excitement and confusion and pride and the pushing down of some depression that's trying to drag me down and wow...
If I thought I was on the verge of tears on Monday!

He's been slaving away in this business for over 20 years and all of us in this family have felt it. My mother was damn near in tears when I told her yesterday about this second nomination. Last year, it felt like justification. This year, it just confirms everything. He's damn good at what he does.
Even if he doesn't win this year, I feel like he already has!!!
